It was an awesome time over the weekend for the first and largest convergence of 40 hackers and computer geeks across the 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria participated in a 4 hours long blackbox vulnerability assessment and penetration testing session to find vulnerabilities and issues from identified products and services to gain a slot into the MTN Quality Assurance Panel. At the end of the hack session, participants where given 1hr to collate their findings in readiness for presentation to the panel of judges.
MTN being committed to youth empowerment and innovative pace setting telecom provider, engaged Nigeria local tech talents from Cybersecurity Challenge Nigeria Initiative (CYSEC NG) information security and ethical hacking community in an all day long Telco Hack Session.
Seeing local tech talents testing the quality assurance of MTN products and services and having all participants presenting their findings which covers their networks, devices, web, mobile and desktop applications of interest to the participants to the panel of judges was awesome as all participant anticipated being selected to join the Quality Assurance Panel.
After a nerve-racking and energy-zapping penetration testing session and presentation of findings, 17 finalists selected to join the Quality Assurance Panel for a one year further engagement with MTN Nigeria.
