PROBLEM
- In the global community, young nigerians are known for hacking, internet fraud, ‘yahoo yahoo’ and other cybercrimes, more so in recent times.
- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in August 2021, lamented the increasing rate of Nigerian youths’ involvement in cybercrimes, stating that over 70 per cent of the country’s young people might soon become ex-convicts.
- The tech Industry is prdominantly male dominated and women who are enthusiastic about delving into tech and cyber security are discouraged
What if there was a community to:
- Identify with, to orientate, train as well as engage youths in the area of information and cybersecurity, empowering young minds, male and female.
- Connect talents with employment opportunities, enterpreneurship mentoring, and skill development
- Groom these talents through webinars, InfoSec articles, Cyber conferences, CTF challenges, Sheroots virtual Bootcamps, Trainings and Certifications scholarships
